In this edition of Georgia College Connections, Yeprem Mehranian and Paulette Cross join host Daniel McDonald to talk about a series of events designed to provoke conversation about social justice. Throughout the months of January, February, March and April, the John H. Lounsbury College of Education presents the Social Justice Dialogue Series.

Each month, they’ll bring speakers to campus or host events that will focus on the imperative for social justice in our educational system.

Local Officials Meet to Discuss Timeline for 2017 SPLOST Referendum

Baldwin County and City of Milledgeville officials have just over a month to call for a voter referendum on extending a penny sales tax to fund capital projects throughout the county.

 

Baldwin County’s current Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax is set to expire in March 2018. But Baldwin County voters have to decide whether or not to extend the sales tax in an election to be held this spring.

In this edition of Georgia College Connections, Georgia College Business Law and Ethics Professor Matt Roessing and attorney Paul Avelar of the Institute for Justice.

The Institute for Justice is a non-profit organization dedicated to litigating for personal liberties and against government regulation. .

Roessing spoke to Paul Avelar before a lecture on the Georgia College campus in 2016.
