Less than a week after the retirement of County Manager Ralph McMullen, Baldwin County officials announced the final candidate to be McMullen’s replacement.

County Commission Chair and Interim County Manager Sammy Hall told WRGC that Baldwin officials offered the top administrative job to Eric Mosley.

Mosley currenly serves as the Assistant county manager for Spalding County. Prior to assuming that position in early 2015, Mosley worked 16 years with the Georgia Forestry Commission. He spent almost two and half years working in Milledgeville as the Forest Manager at Bartram Forest.

Commissioner Hall said Mosley is familiar with Milledgeville, and his government experience in a larger county make him a good candidate to grow into Baldwin’s top professional administrator.

"Most all counties have the same issues whether its econ dev whether its keeping roads well maintained the same issues just ours maybe not as large a scale as he would be accustomed to," Hall said.

The county is negotiating a contract with Mosley. Hall hopes they can agree on a compensation package in the next couple weeks.
